Penalties for late filing TD F 90-22.1

Is there anybody on the forum has heard any penalties imposed so far to a Canadian working in the US with a employment authorization/ visa for late filing TD F 90-22.1 for previous years?

I haven't, but filing late does not remove or lessen the possbility of such fines.

In other words, there is no benefit, according to the law, for filing TD forms late.

Better, in my opinion to simply file on time this year, for this year only.
