tax on dividend, interest and capital gains in usa

Hi

I left canada and am a us resident. If I have interest dividend
and capital gains from canada. How do I report in the us and can I get the complete credit for withholding done in canada?
In the deemed despostion I had a loss and subsequently I had a gain in 2004. Do I need to declare the capital gain after the deemed desposition in usa.

Also is there a way to report dividend from the year earlier--- do an ammendment?
