US Citizen PR in Canada 2555 question

Post by rancan »

Working in Canada with the T2200 form from employer for home office. I deduct the home office expenses on my Canadian return, but am curious if there is any point to including home office expenses on my US return since I'm excluding income as a bona fide resident. I see US forms 2106 and 2555-line 44, but wonder if that's really necessary as I don't see much benefit on the US side. Am I missing something, or am I safe just ignoring the home office on the US return?
