Basic questions from a transplanted Canuck

Hello all,

here's my situation. I'm a Canadian who arrived in the US on a TN-1 Visa in early August 2006. I think I'm supposed to fill out a 1040-NR and a 1116, but what do I file in Canada? And how do I credit the taxes I'm supposed to pay in Canada against those in the US (Is this form 1116)? Finally, if I'm supposed to file in Canada, do I file in Canadian dollars and if so do I use an average exchange rate for the year?

Any pointers would be GREATLY appreciated.
