Payments on 1099 against Cdn Corp

Hi Nelson,
Right now i am in the process of negotiating US opportunities on a corp to corp basis against my CDN corporation. i am CDn citizen going on TN.
I am in touch with the employer in US, who is saying that doing Corp to Corp is very same as 1099. What he is saying is, the cheques could be made payable to the Cdn corp name instead of Individual name.
Is he correct?

What implications this could have during taxation.
