Post by nene »

thank you in advance for anyone replying this.
i'm new to the forum too so, Hi everyone :)

ok.. i'm just wondering if international students studying here in canada can get any taxes back? like from school fee (we pay like triple the amount of canadians do :( ), medical care card, the things we've shopped here (clothing, etc), or anything?
if yes, how does that work? is it something like once a year thing like canadians do?

thank you, really appreciate anyone replying :)

Do you pay taxes in Canada? If not, then there is nothing to get 'back', eh?

I'm talking INCOME tax.

If you are considered a resident of canada, you may be able to file a return and get GST/HST credit... I'll let you figure that out.
