Running an American Corp from Canada

Hi,
I'm an European citizen settled in Canada as a PR. My field of work means I get a significant number of offers from US firms to work Corp to Corp. But not being Canadian, I'm wondering f I could set up an LLC /C corporation in Delaware(which is better?), and then contract with the ÙS firms.
Is this legally acceptable? All work would be done remotely in Canada, do I pay taxes to both Delaware and the Canadian govt?
Please help....
