Hello. I am in the beginning stages of immigration from the US to Canada. We know the steps we must take and we are on the right track.
I have not broken the news to my employer about my wishes to relocate - yet. I work remotely anyway, so my physical presence in the office is not necessary.
My question is: If my employer is receptive to the idea of my move to Canada, what are the requirements of my employer (with regard to taxes) to allow this type of relationship to exist? Will they have special stipulations? The more informed I am when I present the idea, the better off I will be in having a positive outcome. I don't wish any undue burden on my company.
Any information provided is greatly appreciated. Many thanks.
