Selling a product in the USA- Do I need a tax number for Sal

I am Canadian living in Canada and have a sole proprietary registered business. I warehouse my product and sell to US customers.

Do I need Incorporate, apply for Incorporate in Canada, Apply for Individual Tax Identification Number from IRS site, and get EIN?

I started business less than a year ago and was not collecting tax! I would like to know what to do as soon as possible so I can start collecting tax!
