AMT QUESTION

Post by bigrandy »

My AMT taxable income is approx 400k and all from Cdn employment. I reside in the US. My Cdn tax paid is approx 165k and the FTC eliminates all my US taxes. I have no expenses or deductions whatsoever against my income. My software calculates that I owe "no" AMT due to the AMT FTC.

Does this make sense or is my software incorrect?

Thanks

Yes, it makes sense.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
