This is our main tax information forum which deals with topics concerning Canadians living and working in the U.S., U.S. citizens contemplating working in Canada, and all aspects of Canadian and U.S. income tax and related adminstrative issues.
Do I need to close my Canadian bank account and cancel my Canadian credit card along with the sale of all other assets to sever financial ties to Canada. I have heard that bank accounts and credit cards are not an issue but others are saying get rid of everything to avoid tax on worldwide income.
