Post by markham »

Hello,

I've been in the US for 4 years. I just moved to another state and am wondering if I need to inform the CRA about the address change. any consequencies if I do or do not?

Thanks a lot.

None whatsoever. If you havge to file in canda for some reason, just write a new adress on the return. if not, don't bother; they don't care: you are not resident and have no cdn income.

The same would be true if you lived in canada and had no reason to file a Cdn tax return.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
