I have been living and working in the USA since 2015 under TN status. Since mid-2015 I have been filing US taxes as a resident alien and have been a non-resident in Canada for tax purposes since moving to the USA in mid-2015. I worked in Canada for the first half of 2015 and received a bonus resulting from that employment in Feb 2016 which was automatically paid to my Canadian bank account. Apparently the company will be issuing me a T4 for this money shortly. My question is, do I need to file my taxes in Canada as a non-resident and get all my Canadian paid tax back under ARTICLE XV since the amount will be less than $10,000? Then would I need to declare the whole amount in my US tax return as foreign income? Seems to me like this would be the way to go but just looking for some help.
Thanks

You are correct
If it is less than $10k cdn you can deduct it pn your non-resident retun and will get all withholding back. You may even get back any cpp/ei that was withheld
As such you will report the gross income as wages as on your 1040 and have no ftc to deal with (other. than any non-refunded ei/cpp)

After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
