f2555 stamp in passport but didn't actually enter U.S.

Post by Ingtar17 »

I have a bit of an odd situation. Form 2555ez asks me to list the days present in the United States. We intended to fly to the US from Canada and passed through immigration, including receiving a stamp in my passport. We waited all day for 3 delayed planes and in the end they ran out of flights for the day and escorted us out so we could return the next day. We decided to cancel our trip in the morning so we never actually flew to the U.S., but I do have a stamp in my passport showing I entered. Do I list this day as a day in the U.S. or not? Is the airport section after immigration considered U.S. soil like an embassy would be?
