Schedule B and RRSP

Post by Dshee12453 »

Hello,
I recently noticed my accountant did not include schedule B part III for my RRSPs for tax returns 2011 and 2012. Unfortunately I did not catch this.

I did however file 8891s and TDF 90 for both those years correctly. The only missing information is the schedule B. I think the accountant did not think schedule B was necessary because the dividends were under a certain value and he did not realize it is necessary to include foreign accounts.

Should I even bother to send ammended returns? Surely the IRS would realize the 8891s and TDF 90 were filed correctly and there should be no penalty?

Any advice would be appreciated.

I would.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
