Just so people that are in the same situation as me can know... I was a born U.S.citezen and became a Canadian in 1971 ...I went to a U.S. consulate last year and applied for a CLN. It took 9 months for them to send it registered mail.

That's great. What consulate did you go to? I did it in Toronto in December. still waiting. do you post over on the Isaac Brock forum. If not, I'm sure they would be interested in your story.

I will post it on the isaak brock site...I should have also said that the CLN was dated to the 1971 date that i became a Canadian.

I'm glad you posted over there. Did you go to the consulate in Calgary? I know a few people have received their CLN in the last few days that went there. So far, I don't know of anyone yet that did it in Toronto recently. That's why I hope you did it in Toronto since it could me that mine will be coming soon. Thanks.
