I'm a U.S. citizen living in Canada. Just wanting to confirm something, since the RRSP requirements have changed several times over the years.
My understanding is that RRSPs are declared as part of Foreign Financial Assets on Form 8938. If I don't reach the filing threshold for Form 8938, however, do I declare anything about my RRSP accounts with my tax return?
I realize that I'd still report RRSP accounts on the FBAR, since the treshold there is much lower.
RRSP Declaration with Tax Return?

Re: RRSP Declaration with Tax Return?
If you don't need 8938, then there is nothing to annually report to IRS for RRSPs anymore. Treasury dept still requires FBAR.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
