I do not profess to know much about accounting and US/CND tax law - and therefore feel overwhelmed when researching these issues.
A lot of the threads just sail right over my head.
I am looking for a financial plan on how best to proceed with regards to my RRSPs.
I am finding it hard to find knowledgeable unbiased opinions - both Keats and Transition are well versed on the issues - but they also offer portfolio management - so it is in there best interest for me to bring my money down south.
I am very impressed with your knowledge on cross border tax issues.
Would you consider offering your services for a fee?
IE;
Look over a clients RRSP situation and map out a detailed plan on how best to leverage the US/Canadian tax rules with regard to our RRSP holdings.
