If 1040NR with XXV doesn't halp you, then nor will joint 1040, since joint 1040 will never give less tax than 1040NR with XXV.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
