Can I borrow from my Canadian Personal Line of Credit accoun

Post by andcormon »

Hi, I probably know the answer, but I'm asking anyways.

I'm a Canadian in the US since 2005. I own RRSPs, Canadian bank chq. & savings acounts, a credit card and a $10,000 personal line of credit account.

I dutifuly filled in my 8891 and TD F 90-22.1 annually.

This month we are, unfortunately, in a financial bind, and I need access to $3,500. Personal Lines of Credit are not allowed in the state we live in, nor do we qualify for a Home Equity Line of Credit. Borrowing on the credit card would be a horrible option, and we don't know any rich friends. :)

My Canadian Personal Line of Credit would be perfect for this emergency; it's at a low 3.75% interest rate. Can I borrow $3,500 from it (to be paid back within 2 months), without any problems with my TD F 90-22.1 form?

Thanks for any advice.

Yes.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
