Send 2002?

Post by Ingtar17 »

I have never filed, so I am sending 2002-2008. I believe I do not have to send 2002, but in this year I took an HBP withdrawl and the 8833 form indicates if you don't specify you're taking a treaty position, you could be fined. I'd really like to NOT send in this year since my mutual fund refuses to indicate what gain is interest (loss otherwise). Do I have to submit this year, due to the Treaty position, or can I skip sending this because it's fallen off the previous 6 years?

Thanks,
Ingtar

Its fallen off, unless you previously amended it.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best

Ok. Thanks.

BTW - I submitted today after literally years of traversing the learning curve. Thanks nelsona. I never could have done it without your help.

Ingtar.
