State Income Taxes?

Post by Ingtar17 »

US/CAN dual citizen - filing in US for first time.

It just struck me that I have been doing all these federal forms, but I have not seen ANYTHING about state income taxes. Do I need to fill in some forms for state income taxes (like we do in Canada for provincial taxes?) even though I havn't been living there since I was two? I was born in Ohio and then left when I was two and never went back (yet)

The only need to file state income when you (a) live there, (b) work there or (c) own real property which generates revenue there (rent and cap gains)
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
