Foreign Accounts Question

Post by perkyj »

The more I read about "Foreign Accounts", the more I am I finding out with might be included in that category.

Bank accounts are a no-brainer.
RRSPs, have come to light and I get that now.

Also, it looks like the list includes Whole Life Insurance policies, but I'm unclear about reporting Canadian Credit Cards.

Please comment what you know about Credit Cards and also, is there a more comprehensive list so that I don't have to keep finding new ones every time I sit down to read?

Unless you carry a POSITIVE balance on your Cdn credit card and use it like a bank account, I would not worry.

Bank and investment accounts address 99.99% of all TD forms.

If you have any doubt, addit.

Thius is not something I even think about.
After 20 years, I am severely cutting back on responses. Do not ask specifically for my help. There are a few others on this board that can answer most questions. All the best
