Easy tax question regarding new baby and US taxes

Alright, i have been an American citizen living in Canada for the past 7 years as a Permanent resident. I just had a baby in August. She isn't a US citizen yet because we just got all of her Canadian and Quebec paperwork. Usually when i file my US taxes, i use and 2555 form. If i use this form, do i...

US citizen using the HBP for a new house.

Alright this year i bought a house and used $25,000 in RRSP for some of the down payment. So basically i took a distribution. I know i take what the initial RRSP was worth and take what it was worth at distribution time and use that figure. Lets say i put in 22,000 overall since 2006(my first year o...

Yeah i just got the CP13 notice about the credit and what they changed and if i agree with it. On the back of the notice it has my calculations and theirs. Basically implying that since i excluded all of my income and paid no tax that everything is zero. However on the Schedule M instructions, it te...

Alright well got off the phone with the IRS. They didn't accept my (Make working Pay tax credit) for some reason. I filled it out exactly how the instructions told me since i use the ez 2555 form. I don't see how you can screw it up.

I was wondering. I want to open a RESP in my childs name when i do have kids. I won't be a contributor but my child will probably be a US citizen. So basically does that mean he will just have to pay tax on the amount he takes out when he is older?

Does your spouse have to sign the Tdf 90.22 form for joint?

Im married to a Canadian and live in Canada, however when it came to joint accounts, i wrote her name and Spouse next to it. According to the instructions it says that they need the spouse to sign, but is that only if she has a TIN? She has zero ties to the US. Im about to send the form out so i nee...

Form 8891?

I finished filling out my forms. Quick question for the future. When you claim the treaty provision for each rrsp. Is it the first year you had that particular rrsp or the first year you reported rrsps in general? Im putting 2006 for every account since that was the first year i tax deferred my firs...

Alright i think i finished the amended tax forms.

For 2006-2008, added form 8891 and schedule B.

For the TDF 90 form. Do i check the amended box or no since i never filed for the year 2007, 2008?

Do you think they will penalize me for filing those 2 years?

Hey guys, the ing accounts don't have the same prefix, completely different numbers. I just don't want to give them an account number from 2008 that doesn't exist anymore. So basically give them the account numbers for 2008 even though they don't exist and thats it? Right now i have to file a TDF 90...

Well im running into serious problems here. I have an ING account, that has many sub accounts so to speak. The problem is when i had a RSP GIC in 2008 to file for my TDF 90.22 form, once the GIC matures a year later, the account number changes to another number, and then another number after that ma...

According to this guy, its covered in the tax treaty as an account similar to an IRA and not have to fill out a form 3520.

How come its written if any of your foreign accounts have 10k at any one time. None of my accounts have ever had 10k in them at any one time. I have one account at lets say 2k, one at 8k, and one at like 300 bucks. So i would have to list all 3 of those accounts even though none of them have had 10k...
