Switching to TD as dependent
My wife holds TN visa. Is switching to TD by mail without having to visit border an option?
I was trying to avoid H1B to TD and back if I get another job but if no other option is viable, I may be left with only that option.

Canadian citizen leaving US- Owned house- Lease or sell
I posted in other forum. If I have to leave US suddenly, I can put my basic stuff in a storage and rent my home in US? I have got a very good mortgage rate so rent would cover all expenses including property manager expenses and still 60% of mortgage would add to equity. Sooner or later, I have to s...

Nelsona- Thanks. My house in Canada is on lease and I can avoid staying in Canada in middle of winter by going to milder places of my home country where I always have a owned home available where I visit. I want to return to Canada only after exhausting all possibilities of return to my current empl...

Is applying for B2 an option for Canadians? I did not know about it. If that is allowed, then I can apply online for B2 few days before my job ends and allow me to take care of the things while here. There is an increased possibility that same employer can call me back in few months when the situati...

H1B Loss of job- What are my options to return
I am likely to lose my current H1B job with I-140 approved but priority date not current. I own home in Chicago. My job is likely to be going away in two months. My employer does not revoke I-140 so I can return anytime if I get a job offer. But my question is when is the earliest I can return to US...

2013 Net loss in rental property for Non resident
While working in US, my Toronto rental property has been on lease for many years. Every year, due to net positive rental income, I have been claiming Capital cost allowance to make it zero income. This year for the first time, I will have about $5000 net loss without having to claim Capital cost all...

What happens when NR6 Canadian Agent becomes non resident?
I am curious to know what actions need to be taken if Canadian agent leaves Canada in the middle of the year when NR6 is approved. Logically his status will be resident of Canada for CRA till he files return next April informing that he left Canada. My question is whether I need to switch to 25% of ...
