This is becoming quite insane. How can anyone be penalized for non-compliance with the unknowable. Back 8891s Can they all go in together or do you need 1040Xs

I have been sending in 8891 s for my regular RRSPs but I have a couple of spousal plans. Assume I can backfile 6 years. Do I need 6 1040x or can they all go in together. Regards

oops another question about FBAR. I have not reported insurance policies since I did not consider them financial accounts. Apparently they are if they have cash values. Same with accumulation annuties. Does anyone know if this is a new requirement or one that requires amended past filings?

Dual citizen living in Canada. I emailed FBAR & they responded that RRSPs are reportable. I have reported some RRSPs too in the past, but not 2 that are spousal RRSPs. Do I need to report amended FBARs for 6 years or is it sufficient to add now. Same for 8891s. Or can I just add them this year. ...
