Canadian resident received 1099G(unemployment compensation

Hey everyone.

Question for you. If you are a Canadian resident, and US non resident, how does it work if you recieve a 1099G(unemployment from California)

I know its taxable in the US, but unsure about Canada?

Your right they didn't make any Canadian contribution. However problem is they never made the election when they came to Canada.
