Thanks for the replies. To clarify I am a Canadian citizen and I don't work in Sales. I am a technical software specialist. TD F 90-22.1 and US Person

I have a question about whether or not we are required to file the form TD F 90-22.1 with the department of treasury. Apparently, this form is required for "US person" defined as US citizen or US resident ? And I am a little confused on what "US resident" means in this context. D...

Hello, My wife has a GIC (Guaranteed Investment Certificates) in a bank account in Canada, which is earning interest income. I am wondering if we need to report this income on our US tax returns and how? I am also wondering if she needs to file a return in Canada for this year to report this income....
