Just a follow up question...in order for my company to move me to US payroll, I will need to wait for my EAD, can I still work for my company (remotely in the US) while waiting for the EAD? My understanding is it can take up to 90 days. I am hoping there will be no interruption in my work duties. We ...

We are moving to the US this summer. My husband has an L1 and I can get and L2. My canadian company is allowing me to work remotely (work from home). My question is, is this possible legally and what would be the tax implications in staying in Canadian payroll. Also, would I still need to ...

It will be easier for him to visit us in Canada than for us to visit him (NY to Toronto). So I guess it's better for him to do Canadian residency as well (all at the same time). In this case, what is that best option for tax filing? Can we still do the full year joint 1040, then as ...

TD status going home, spouse will stay in US on TN
Hello,
My family moved to US in 2011 under TD (kids & I) and TN (husband). I found a job in Canada and the kids & I are moving back to Canada this summer and will be re-establishing our Canadian residency. Will my husband remain a non-resident in Canada and resident in the US?
Thanks
