Foreign earned income exclusion
Moved to US in Jan. 2014 for work (TN with H1B now).
After move, I received income from previous employer (around mid-Jan. 2014) for work done in 2013.
How do I avoid the double taxation of this income?

RRSP January Withdrawal Before Becoming Canadian NR
I have $11k in a RRSP Savings. No other savings or investment accounts, just a checking account.
I resigned from my Canadian job in December 2013. I will be starting work in the US mid-January 2014. Therefore, I should have no Canadian income in 2014.
If I withdraw the $11k from the RRSP while ...

Thanks nelsona.
Given my situation, what would you advise that I do with my RRSP? I want to keep the RRSP because it's meant to be withdrawn when I retire (and if that's the case I want to move it from a savings to a mutual fund where it might have the potential to "grow" a bit until I retire), but ...

TN - finances advice
I'm Canadian (Toronto) and I will be going to the US (California) for 3 years on TN visa in Jan. 2014; trying to do some financial planning before I leave.
I have read some of the other threads but still have the following questions - hoping someone would be willing to help:
