Does anyone know what criteria are used to determine whether dividends from Canadian companies are considered qualified for US tax purposes?
Is there a readily available list of Canadian large-cap companies whose dividends are considered qualified or non-qualified for US purposes?

Another reason to put the house in the just the husband's name is to avoid a phantom FX gain on the mortgage.
