Hi folks,
Apologies for beating a dead horse. I am a Canadian resident, planning to work for a US company, 90% remotely, but 10% in the USA (and not just meetings, and sometimes for a few weeks, but never more than say two months of the year total).
Is this a workable plan:

I'm single and in quite a high tax bracket, relatively. I would have to check, but I think it's around 45% for federal + state + nyc.
I still think before returning to Canada, it would be worth rolling everything into a Roth IRA -- if I have some flexibility over when I move, would it be possible ...

Here's my situation:
Nov. 2006 - Bought a condo in Montreal, $-180k CAD
2007 - Repaired condo basement, $-10k CAD
2009 - Joined/started a lawsuit relating to a hidden defect
Sep. 2010 - Moved to NYC, couldn't sell condo due to above
Dec. 2010 - filed tax returns as a partial Canadian non-resident ...
