So many clear infos on this forum... I'm wondering where to declare the parental leave income I recieved from the Canadian (Quebec) government. In TurboTax, there is a section for paid family leave, but I would need a 1099-G form, which I don't have, of course... Should I declare it with the other C...

I tought QPIP benefits could be conidered E.I. as they are reported on the same kind of form (T4-E).

That is good news! As for California, I only need to report the taxable income (work income, not t4E income from qpip), and only for the time I was a Ca resident, right? Is that still true if the federal is mfj with the election as residents for the whole year? Thanks!

So no concern about the 2011 (and there will be a 2012 too) contribution of my employer to my pension fund? I'm asking because I know that for my RRSP, once I'm in the U.S., I can not put any money in it.

Should we fill our U.S. declaration jointly with all our U.S. and Canadian incomes and say that my husband is the head of household? Then, what is my husband's SINGLE status you are tahling about?

I actually recieve maternity leave income from BOTH provincial social plan and my employer. It is permitted as the employer completes the missing salary. The employer even speakd directly with the province social program managers to get their exacts numbers before they establised the amount missing ...
