This sounds like complete crap. I send US$ checks from Canada every month and it never takes more than a week, once they arrive, to clear. I've also deposited US drawn checks into my US$ account in Canada and it's never taken more than 5 days to clear. 90 days? :lol:

My transactions are much smaller than that, but, the % looks about right.

If I were sending amounts as large as you posted, I would probably look into a site that offered a flat fee vs. a % and see if I could get a better deal (whether or not that exists, I don't know, but, I'm tight with my money ...
