I am a dual Can/US citizen living in Canada. Just trying to finish up my US taxes. I came across a notice that we now file the FBAR (previous TD-90-22.2 form and now 114a) online through FinCen (?).

Thank you so much. I got it figured out. My dad is my hero. I was understanding the form incorrectly...the word "excluded" got me. I will definitely look at the tax software though. Cheers.

No I haven't. I find the US taxes way more difficult to understand than the Canadian taxes. I have just followed what my brother has done as he is in the same boat...but for obvious reasons, he was not on a maternity leave and didn't receive EI for it. :)

I did try many searches for FBAR but nothing came up to tell me what it was. I guess I'm not very good at this yet.

Does any one know if there is a special form I have to fill out for my tax free savings account? I was told by someone to get rid of it, which I have now, but I was told I had to fill out another form.
