Another consideration is insurance for non imported car in US for more than 6 months. My Canadian insurer has a 6 month cap on US coverage. Doubt US insurer will cover non imported car. You have to contact Honda/Accura USA HQ and ask for a letter that states that the VIN meets US requirements and that it is up to date for recalls. If I retain a house in Canada and have a second home in Florida, but take a TN in US which puts me over the IRS six month threshold, am I forced to exit and deem dispose Fine Art still in Canada?
