You might need to file an FBAR form too. I'm not sure but the FBAR threshold is low - if your bank and brokerage assets exceeded $10,000 in any given day in 2010, you might need to file the form.

I have received quarterly statements for the RESP. They have a line for each mutual fund in the RESP, called "the fund earned income and you re-invested it," followed by an CAD amount and fund units purchased.

But it does not tell me the components of the income, e.g ...

Just read your post on RESP reporting in forms 3520 and 3520-A. Could I ask you a question on reporting 2010 earnings of my RESP in the US tax returns?

How do I obtain detailed earnings information for the RESP? It's probably an equivalent of Form 1099, which shows interest ...

US Tax Reporting of RESP

How do I get details of earnings of my RESP for 2010? The only thing I received is quarterly statements, which don't show different categories of earnings.

Having worked in the US in 2010, I've now found I have to report my RESP in the US tax returns. Looks like there are three forms to be reported ...
