You are right Nelson...I do have the stamp confirming receipt and have spent too much time worrying over whether those IRS clerks will drop the ball...Next year, I will send the TD Form direct at the same time i submit my tax return.

I have an IRS office close to me and the instructions said i could take it to that office for forwarding to the Treasury Dept...I figured i could avoid a long wait at the post office to send it certified.

Re line 6b of Form 8891, if 2002 was the first year an election was made under Rev Pr 02-23 but you also filed amendments going back to 1997, is the first year the election came into effect 2002 or is it 1997?

I am a U.S. resident and recently received a NR4 for $101 interest income earned in Canada. Am I supposed to receive a 1099 for these? Is this interest reportable to the U.S.? Does the NR4 get reported to the IRS? and takes the place of the 1099 or should I be asking for a 1099? I also note the form...
