Is it mandatory to activate CPP in US

I am short by a couple of years of the 30 years of contributing to Social Security. I do get forms yearly from SS asking if I am eligible for any other pensions from foreign countries. Does Social Security require me to apply for CPP so that they can reduct my benefit accordingly because of Windfall...

I am going to receive CPP in U.S. I am filling out the Foreign Direct Deposit Enrollment Form for CPP and have to include my US bank swift code. Does that mean that a CPP payment going to the U.S comes in as a wire transfer? I know that my bank charges a fee for an incoming wire so want to avoid tha...

In 2009, we transferred some of our RRSPs to new RRSP accounts. I submitted the 8891s for the new accounts and did not report the old accounts.
