Per Diem for travel to Canada
Hi, Can an independent contractor (a US citizen) claim both the Per Diem M&IE (Meals and Incidentals) and the Per Diem Maximum Lodging Allowance for work performed in Canada? The actual amount claimed for M&IE (Meals) is 50%. Is it the same for lodging as well? Thanks.

I am a US citizen who did some consulting work in Canada. I used to drive from the US to Canada for 2-3 days at a time (did this a total of 4 times) and stayed at a hotel while in Canada.
