Hi, Besides 8891, where else do we need to report RRSP? Do we need to report RRSP on Form TD F 90-22.1? Or is Form TD F 90-22.1 only for ordinary bank accounts? Is it true that if one needs to file Form TD F 90-22.1, one has to fill out Schedule B of 1040 as well? If so, do you send Schedule B toget...

Hi, I have a few more questions regarding Form 2555. They are all basic questions (but not basic to me). Sorry if they are too basic to you. 1. Line 1: Your foreign address What if one has moved out of Canada, and do not have an address in Canada now? Can one use a friend's address in Canada? Or doe...

To claim Foreign Earned Income Exclusion, you need to answer yes to the following question: Were you physically present in a foreign country or countries for at least 330 full days during any period of 12 consecutive months? This "any period" does not have to be the tax year we are looking...

If we file SEPARATELY (and both as US residents), in "Exemptions" on 1040, can we include each other as exemptions?

My conern was that he was in the US only around half a year, and we may file separately. Does filing jointly or separately affect exemptions?

Thanks in advance.

Thanks a lot Nelson. I find that very helpful. One more question: when you report Canadian income on US tax form, do you report the Canadian dolloar amount, or do you convert them to US dollars? If the latter, does one just find out the exchange rate at the day you file and do the calculation by one...
