I am US GC holder with commuter status; my wife has employment T4 income. This year I try to use 1040 and foreign tax credit for her taxes paid in Canada. My question is: 1. I was told that some canadians (cross border commuting worker) were able to claim 100% of their michigan state income tax back due to the fact that they are not living in Michigan but just working there. It is very intrigue to me.
