The inheritance is being held and distributed by Morgan Stanley but they will not not open an account for me unless it is $100k since I am in Canada. So what you are saying is to go to a Canadian broker and see if they can handle the stocks..thanks for the suggestion I will try this and let you know...

I agree. The company was supposed to provide tax advice and complete my tax forms but unfortunately the service provided is substandard for my situation.
