Non Resident tax in US

Hi,

Last year, I lived and worked in Canada. But from my accounts in US, I got some income in US which is less than the minimum taxable amount.

Do I have to file US taxes as a NonResident?

If I contribute to 401(k), is it tax deductible in Canada and similarly, is RRSP tax deductible in US for the year 2008?

How to balance between 401(k) and RRSP?

I am a Canadian PR. Worked in Canada for 2 years and now my employer moved me to US on L1 visa. My family will be in Canada and I have a house in Canada.
