As per 8938 instructions we need to enter in RRSP info in Part VI line 1 thru 6 and line 8. My RRSP are with Investor Group in Canada. My question for line 8 a is it Issuer or Counterparty and 8b what type I need to select (1)individual or (2) partnership or (3) corporation etc

If the threshold level (<50 K or <100K for joint) is not met do we still need fill this form 8938 indicating how many 8891 that are submitted

Thanks for the reply. Tax software asks for 1099-INT form to fill schedule B. I received NR4.
I have been checking part III schedule B I am familiar with filling 8891 and TDF forms Thanks to this forum This is the first time I received NR4. Probably this year it is over $1o so they sent me NR4 form

I have received NR4 for a small amount (<$20) interest income from US dollar account in a Canadian Bank. On which line on 1040 I have to report this income. Is it Other income line 21 or schedule B.

Does Turbotax and Taxcut provide 8891 forms for efiling ?

I used to efile using taxact sw without 8891 forms and then amend using 1040X and send 8891 forms later
