"You don't attach 1099s to your Cdn return. You only attach 1040 and W-2." Do you mean you don't have to report US interest as income for canadian taxes?.....I am in the same boat. I have some 1099's from my US bank.

Thanks.

Otherwise I shouldn't bother paying taxes. So, if I pay the $750 OHIP tax every year on top of my regula...

Thanks for your reply nelsona. I had already bought ontario blue cross - the travel coverage for unlimited 15 days trips to US before I left Canada. I go back to canada every weekend. Is that what you meant by blue cross coverage or do you think I need to buy additional coverage on top of that?....T...

Not that I want to piggy back on the original question but if her husband is indeed paying canadian taxes, can he keep the OHIP priviliges?.....I am in exactly the same situation with ties to canada eventhough I moved to US. My company healthcare plan in US costs $600 per month and it still charges ...

Thanks for your replies. Can I get a MI license based on my ON license or would I have to take the written/road tests again? Does Ontario Michigan have some agreement over exchange of driver information or can I keep my Ontario License and still get a new MI license.

I know this is not the right place to ask this question but I can't find another forum. I am a Canadian Citizen living in Ontario. I am in the process of getting my US green card. I will have to move to US for the I-485 processing stage (Adjustment of Status). Would I have to swap my ontario license...
