I'm a Canadian citizen / US resident on a TN for last few years.
I bought a computer in Canada in 2018 for my rental properties in Canada. I want to put this computer under my Canadian rental properties so wondering if it can be a depreciatied on one of the properties, but more ...

Thanks Nelson. However I can't find the I94 record I printed out originally and as I've crossed over between Canada and US a number of times in the last 2 years I'm concerned that when my 3 year TN is up, I'm not sure how to get the paper copy.

US resident, CDN citizen - create a will
I realize this might not be totally a tax question but would effect my estate's final taxes hugely if handled improperly I'm guessing.
I have a will in Canada. I was advised by the Canadian lawyer that I should have a will in the US as well, as otherwise it could be a problem.
My situation is that I ...

US resident - CDN rental - depreciation of roof
I know that my rental real estate that I have in Canada must be depreciated over a 40 year schedule as apposed to usual 27.5 years on my US taxes.
However, for over items such as a new roof, a new furnace, etc. do I depreciate over 40 years as well or can I use the 27.5 years method.
Thank you.

Sep IRA -> IRA transfer
I had 2 accounts with TD Ameritrade - one had my LLC Sep-IRA money and the second is my personal, regular IRA.
I wanted to close the Sep-IRA and move the funds into my personal IRA, so advised TD Am. of this in 2014. Now with forms being created, etc. they have not generated a 5498 or 1099-R. The ...

IRA -> Roth - tax hit and survivor benefit question
I've been reading the threads concerning the IRA -> Roth IRA conversion and sure think it come in handy for my situation (canadian citizen, us resident).
However, a couple of answers would be great (once, of course, it's ratified by Canada).
1. Let's say I had $100K US in my traditional IRA. If I ...

Can I contribute to SEP IRA and traditional IRA?
I am a 1099 and about a month ago, I sent in my $4,000 for 2006 traditional IRA and another check for $4,000 for an early contribution towards my 2007 traditional IRA.
Then I found out I could contribute about $22K to a SEP-IRA for 2006.
So, I opened a SEP-IRA account. I then contributed the $22K ...
