I am thinking of applying for spousal benefits now. I will report my pensions and CPP. I have never worked in the USA. Canadian citizen only.
Will WEP be deducted in this instance?

Thanks for the info ... so I will have to report my CPP but not my other provincial pension or OAS. I didn't think I had to report anything as from what I understand the spousal pension would not be reduced by either (WEP or G one). So ... I will report it when the time comes. You probably have your answer already but ... for others, if you open an account on the IRS website you will have access to the various forms related to your tax information ie transcripts.

If you decided you wanted to keep money in a USA account it is also quite easy to move it with an exchange company. I use the one out of BC. That is what I do with my pension. The exchange rate beats the bank all to heck. You go online and just make a transfer from US Bank to Canadian account via th...
