TN support letter end date
Hi all, I have a US job offer which does not have an end date. I am applying for TN and was wondering how the end date should be worded in the support letter. Will this be an issue that my job offer doesn't have an end? Also the job offer says remote in parenthesis as I'm supposed to work from home....

Re: Form 8938 FATCA reporting - custodial account or deposit account
Mine was RSP in a broker account, so I put it as corporation and entered account number and address, etc. I selected issuer. I did not have anything regarding the last line that you are asking about.

Re: Capital loss from previous years
I moved to US in jul 2020. I had losses from 2020 and that was only due to deemed disposition of property for CRA. On my NOA of 2020 I have these losses mentioned. during 2021 I had no loss/gain to report to anyone. All I had is 2020's losses in Canada. Should I report this to IRS?? or it s not rele...

Where to enter Canadian lump sum pension payment?
I got a Canadian lump sum payment this year. I am wondering where I should enter this for IRS? For now I entered it in "Foreign Employer Compensation/Pension (not reported on W-2/1099-R) - FEC", which was under "Pensions, Annuities and IRA Distributions" in my tax software. Does ...

Re: Mapping Canadian T3 to American 1099-DIV

I decided not to use the numbers on those tax forms for US. I just went to my account and summed up all the dividends I received in the last year and entered ...

Re: TFSA contributions just before leaving Canada
So I have calculated my Stock profile gain/loss on the day I left and my portfolio was close to 5000$ in loss. There were no gain. Do I still need to file T1161 and T1243? This trading account is the only thing I had that meet the deemed disposition criteria.
