How does one calculate partial days in the US, in determining whether over or under 183 days? So for example, I spent aprox 20 days travelling back to work in US from my residence in Canada - are these counted in total? On most of those days I first worked in Canada. I do have a primary residence in Canada for which I am paying a mortgage and not renting. I have family in Canada as well, and return frequently.

Canadian Citizen working in US on TN, starting mid May 2018. Jan - March worked full-time in Canada. TN starting sometime in May return most weekends for 3/4 days and work casual weekends in Canada, 2 week holiday in Canada, mortgage on unrented home.
